What a treat it was yesterday to play our Club Championship with no wind. We had almost 90 players on the day, and once again, as usual, Camillus, Henry, and Terry ensured the event ran without a hitch.
Thanks to José, Jean, Oscar, Michael, and Felipe in the pro shop their approach makes life much less complicated, and we really appreciate it. Yolanda and Duly, as always, had the place looking spic and span. We were also very well looked after by Leila, Vanessa, and Arantxa, who provided lovely bocadillos and drinks.
Miguel, the course is in great condition, especially now with a little growth on the fairways. Well, done to you and your team. Our Captain, Susy, was present to greet and meet the prize winners. She also thanked all the members for their support of our designated charity, the AECC. We raised more than €1,200, which will be presented at our Charity Day event.
A special mention must go to our treasurer, Denis, for his innovative idea and organisation of the fundraising on the day. Finally, congratulations to Willie Mackie on his win, he will drive his buggy about now, no need to walk.

Our gross was won by Nick Brooks 35. Second place went to Nicholas Shaw with 42 and the winner on the day with 43 points Paul Tobin.

A final note on breakdown of handicaps, as published on our site we have maximum handicap limits of 26 for men and 30 for women with the slope included.
